It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL).

For enquiries and projects handled by our Dubai office, the controller is MES MARINE L.L.C-FZ Dubai, Meydan Freezone Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E. (info@mesmarinedubai.com). Both companies are referred to below as “MES Marine”, “we” or “us”.
2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry and correspondence data – name, company, job title, email address, phone number, vessel or project details and any specifications, drawings or documents you send us by email, phone or messaging services.
- Business relationship data – information needed to prepare offers, place and manage orders, arrange logistics and provide warranty and service support.
- Technical data – IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time and the referring page, recorded in server logs by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the website.
- Analytics data – only if you accept analytics cookies: pseudonymous identifiers, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location (city or country) and device information collected by Google Analytics.
- Consent record – your cookie choice and the date it was made, stored in your browser.
This website has no contact forms, user accounts or newsletter sign-up. We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data.

Under the UAE PDPL we process personal data with your consent or where processing is necessary to perform a contract or take steps at your request, to comply with legal obligations, or for another purpose permitted by the PDPL.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary browser storage to remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you accept analytics. Details, durations and the option to change your choice are explained in our Cookie Policy.
5. Who we share personal data with
- MES Marine group companies (MES MARINE Yatçılık San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and MES MARINE L.L.C-FZ Dubai), where needed to handle your enquiry or project;
- the manufacturers we represent, limited to the information needed to prepare a technical proposal, quotation, order or service response;
- logistics, freight forwarding, customs and insurance providers involved in delivering equipment;
- IT, hosting and email service providers acting on our instructions;
- Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC for website analytics, only if you consent;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and accountants; and
- courts, authorities and public bodies where required by law.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
6. International transfers
We work from Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates with manufacturers and partners in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries. Personal data may therefore be transferred outside the country in which it was collected.
Where required, we protect these transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses (including the standard contracts under Article 9 of KVKK notified to the Personal Data Protection Authority) and the safeguards recognised under the UAE PDPL, or we rely on the exceptions permitted by applicable law, for example where a transfer is necessary to perform a contract you requested.
7. How long we keep personal data
- Enquiries and correspondence that do not lead to a contract: up to 2 years after the last contact.
- Contract, order and accounting records: for the periods required by commercial and tax law (generally 10 years under Turkish law).
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider and applicable law, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, after which we ask again.
At the end of these periods, personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority; in the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Under KVKK (Article 11)
You have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed;
- request information about the processing;
- learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose;
- know the third parties to whom your data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad;
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions of Article 7;
- request that corrections, deletions or destructions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred;
- object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
You can submit KVKK requests in writing to our Antalya address, by registered electronic mail (KEP) or by email to info@mesmarine.com.tr from an email address previously notified to us. We respond free of charge within 30 days at the latest; where a request involves an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).
Under the UAE PDPL
You have the right to receive information about the processing, to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or stop the processing, to data portability and to object to decisions based solely on automated processing. Complaints may be submitted to the UAE Data Office.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted HTTPS connections, access restrictions and confidentiality obligations, to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information by email.
10. Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
